(Part 1 of 2) This updated series is a real world, applied examination of Washington’s Model Toxics Control Act (WAC 173-340) covering key issues and situations that consultants and site managers deal with and argue about, with the goal of minimizing site review time and expediting site cleanup approvals. 

In Part 1 (one day), the instructor will lead attendees through the key elements of MTCA, and present an overview of the MTCA administrative requirements and associated cleanup standards. Participants will also learn the MTCA remedy selection process and public involvement requirements.

Time will be reserved for review of case-studies, discussion, and Q&A. Attendees will leave the session with a clear understanding of the basics of MTCA.
