Pacific Cascade Middle School is starting a new Environmental Club and EOS Alliance has teamed up with the Issaquah YMCA to help out.



This week Brianna, Cari and I visited PCMS for our first Environmental Club meeting, where we discussed recycling. The students are an enthusiastic bunch who are excited to become the “recycling experts” at their school. We helped them learn how to sort through their garbage by testing them with a highly competitive recycling relay race and some riveting rounds of recycling bingo. These kids are now experts!



The Environmental Club is eager to make their school as green as possible. We brainstormed ways that their school can improve their recycling, prepare students for a composting program, and get more kids involved with environmental club. Pacific Cascade Middle School is working towards their goal of obtaining Green School certification. The new Environmental Club will surely serve a lead role in this process. EOS will be visiting PCMS every other week to help them work towards this goal!
