Green Seattle Day!

Our volunteers were part of making Seattle greener! City wide there were 1120 volunteers working at 20 parks across Seattle!

We did our part to keep Seattle's environment healthy at our site, the Maple School Natural Area, with the help of some enthusiastic volunteers. We focused our efforts on areas we had already cleared of invasive plants through past events. Being rid of pesky English Ivy and Himalayan Blackberry, the land was a prime location for native plants, from firs to ferns.

The site was beautiful that day--falling leaves everywhere! The rain held off just long enough for us to finish planting.

Our group photo--Thanks to all our fabulous volunteers!!
