Columbia City Climate Co-op Third and Final Workshop

Columbia City Residents meet for the third and final time last night intent on moving forward with a community effort to combat climate change. The workshop began with a presentation by Kate Curtis summarizing what the Columbia City Climate Co-op Steering Committee has learned from the community up until this point. They’ve found that residents’ interests can be divided into five categories: Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy, Transportation, Local Economy, and Planning and Resources.

Participants then broke into discussion groups, each one focused on developing a kickoff project for one of the five categories. These ideas will be compiled by the steering committee, analyzed for their economic feasibility, and – hopefully – brought to fruition. Go Columbia City Climate Co-op! Thanks to all of you who participated in this exciting project.
