Description:

     Risk management and mitigation tools, personality trait and human behavior awareness, normalization of deviance controls, PIC/NIC, positive interactions and error tolerance implementation. Through accelerated learning techniques, you’ll gain the solid skills and supervisory "how-to's" you need to get others to go that extra mile! The comprehensive agenda covers the essential building blocks to supervisory excellence, how to build morale and increase productivity, strategies for handling conflicts and curbing absenteeism, time-management tips no supervisor should be without, and how to acquire a supervisor’s mindset and image.
 

     The instructor is Rocco Meraglia who has 30 years’ experience in team building and workshops in courageous self-leadership,Normalization of Deviance Incident & systems evaluations and project management improvements. A professional Firefighter & EMTA, Global Safety and SecurityProfessional. 

     Rocco is the Principle of MEM HSE Consulting, a business consulting firm based in Vancouver, British Columbia., with offices in Seattle. Rocco has worked on some of the largest projects in the world. Including Ground Zero as the Hazardous Waste Removal Coordinator, Katrina Relief efforts, Mega Mining Construction Projects (Ekati Diamond Mine, Diavik Diamond Mine, Snap Lake Diamond Mine, Panama’s Mina de Cobre, Ambatovy Nickel-Madagascar, Baro Alto Project, Numerous Oil/Gas & Power projects as the field and corporate HSSE Director and as Corporate Director for multiple mining and EPCM organizations. Rocco has presented at international conferences on the topics of Leadership, Team Work, HSE, Wellness Programs, and Hazard Analysis & Emergency Preparedness. Rocco can provide risk assessment & gap analysis of HSSE systems from actual activities to provide a value added look at what the significant risk s are and to close them utilizing the “Reason Model” focusing on defenses and organization systems. Rocco has conducted over 500 high potential root cause analysis incident investigation for global clients.
 
     Rocco currently focuses toward conducting objective and independent systems reviews, Incident Investigation, and guest speaking on Leadership in safety, site safety gap analysis evaluations reviews.

Billing Information

In order to guarantee a space in a course, the tuition must be paid in full TWO WEEKS before the first day of the course by either check or credit card. State and government agencies paying with a purchase order are allowed payment under the two-week time frame if a copy of the purchase order is received by NWETC.

  • With 31 or more days notice, we will offer a 100% refund or credit towards a future course. The credit is good for one year and may be applied to any course.
  • With 30-8 days notice, we will offer a course credit towards a future course. The credit is good for one year and may be applied to any course.
  • With fewer than 8 days notice, there is no course credit available
