Description: In this course, we invite you to explore in-detail the wide array of uses of biophilic building elements at the residential scale. The material covered will expand upon green roofs and living walls, focusing on elements like phyto-towers and rain gardens. A full range of design and construction options, as well as legal and financial issues, will be discussed.

Upon Completing This Course Students will Be Able To:
Expand the design options and strategies for residential green roofs, living walls, and other biophilic elements

Prerequisites: A basic understanding of green roofs, living walls, and rain gardens. NWETC's Green Walls and Living Roofs for Residential Applications (preceding this course) is strongly recommended

This course is intended for: Architects, Landscape Architects, Landscape Designers, Policy Makers, Low Impact Development Specialists

Education Level: Introductory/Review

Course Materials: Participants will receive course proceedings, and reference materials.

Continuing Education Units: 0.7

What to Bring: Pen or pencil, coffee mug, and a water bottle (to reduce waste). Lunch will be on your own. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance. Drinks and snacks will be provided each day.
